Senior Analytics Engineer
Gemini Space Station seeks a Senior Analytics Engineer in New York, New York. Duties include: Design, develop, and implement data models for our Data Warehouse and BI (Business Intelligence) solutions. Design, build, and launch scalable and reliable warehouse data into production using Python, as well as identifying SQL queries and the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) development. Create new systems and tools to improve existing data warehouse processes and enable efficient access of the database structure. Develop test plans and scripts through data validation and analysis and build and document the database strategies. Work with engineers, project managers, and analysts to deliver insights to the business. Perform root cause analysis and resolve production and data issues to enhance the models for the Data Warehouse and BI solutions. Guide internal teams to use data to improve the products and achieve KPIs (Key Performance Indicator). This is a telecommuting position that can be performed from anywhere in the U.S. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, or related field, plus 3 years of related experience. Additionally, position requires 3 years of experience with all of the following: Designing, building, and enhancing dimensional models for Data Warehouse and BI applications including Tableau, Looker, or Power BI. Designing, automating, building, and launching scalable, efficient and reliable data pipelines into production using Python. Custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance. Schema design and dimensional data modeling. One or more MPP databases including Redshift, Bigquery, or Snowflake. One or more ETL frameworks including Custom, DBT or Databricks. Performing root cause analysis and resolving production and data issues. Creating test plans, test scripts, and performing data validation. $149,358 per year. Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S.
