Level-4 Systems/Software Quality Engineer

This requisition is for a Level-4 Systems/Software Quality Engineer with LM Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) in Orlando, FL. The position will interface directly with the LM Enterprise Logistics and Test Solutions (ELTS) Quality Program Manager (QPM) on Engineering Quality Assurance (EQA) work tasks/priorities and functionally reports to the LM RMS EQA ACS/LMS Manager. The candidate must be self-directed and have a demonstrated history of strong performance across a variety of QA responsibilities/tasks on development and/or sustainment programs. He/she is expected to quickly come-up to speed with the Enterprise Logistics and Test Solutions (ELTS) products, technical requirements, program risks, delivery milestone schedule and allocated budgets for EQA work scope. The Quality Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Identify root causes and associated corrective actions, evaluate process/product performance, lead continuous improvement efforts, and participate/interface with the engineering community and customer (as required) on program activities to assure processes and products are compliant to contractual requirements Provide monthly inputs/metrics on the quality health of the program(s) to the ELTS QPM Coordinate the Basis of Estimate (BOE) inputs for Systems/Software Quality Engineering work scope on ECPs and on-going proposal efforts Lead quality efforts as an engaged member of the change control process boards (ERC/CRB) Support security/information assurance activities, as required Interface with Supplier Quality Engineering and Subcontractor Management, as necessary, to ensure Systems/Software subcontractor requirements are adequately defined and managed Support reviews for approval, limited calibration requests, and calibration extension, and lost calibrated item reports for Out Of Tolerance (OOT) items Provide technical direction to other Systems/Software Quality Engineers supporting the program as needed You are a dynamic and results-oriented professional with a passion for driving operational excellence and optimizing production processes.
