TekSynap is seeking a Release and Deployment Team Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM, formerly referred to as SCCM) expert to work with a team of highly skilled individuals responsible for providing day-to-day operational support in the area of enterprise software testing, packaging, and deployment as well as management of the customers' pre-production and testing environment. Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: Experience supporting software environments and release deployment in a similar environment (minimum of 4,000 workstations and 1,000 servers) and have orchestrated and executed complex releases and updates in both environments. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) along with ability to manage the console, track deployments and reporting. Demonstrated detailed knowledge of computer (laptop/desktop) imaging in a Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) environment. This includes "master" or "gold image" development and maintenance for Microsoft Windows 11 using MECM/SCCM. Detailed experience managing the computer image library for a medium-to-large enterprise. The candidate will create and maintain through the government's change control processes a government approved base image ("master" or "gold" image) that will, by default, be used on computers throughout the entire enterprise. AGILE and ITIL expertise as well as experience in leveraging the applicable aspects of each discipline into a client's Release and Deployment processes. Experience identifying and offering improvements and enhancements to a client's Release process and working with the client to implement changes. Demonstrated knowledge of programming constructs such as Visual Basic or PowerShell, so as to facilitate customized deployments. Experience preparing and maintaining communications templates for all deployment activities as well as operate and update web and/or SharePoint portals with associated information. Experience with multiple development methods and practices, specifically Agile and DevOps. Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) from a server and infrastructure design perspective, MS Shell scripting, Windows Operating System. Required Qualifications
Required qualifications include: BS Information Technology or related discipline and 2 years of relevant experience or 5 years relevant experience. Proven professional who can effectively interact with others to accomplish tasks within tight schedule, ability to prioritize tasks with excellent organizational and time management skills. Must possess good communication skills, be dependable, outgoing and positive with excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service skills. Willingness to adjust schedule to match the customer requirements. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) along with ability to manage the console and track deployments. Successful passing of Public Trust background check. Successful passing of drug screening. Desired Skills and Experience
Desired skills and experience include: MECM(SCCM) Expertise. ITIL Foundations v3 Certification (a plus). MS scripting and PowerShell experience. Work Environment and Physical Demands
The work environment and physical demands are as follows: Location: Rockville, MD Type of environment: Office (primarily from home for the time being) Noise level: Medium Work schedule: Schedule is day shift Monday - Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs. Amount of Travel: Less than 10% Physical demands include: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, feel, touch; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds.
