Quality Engineer
A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Quality Engineer. Position Type: Full time Contract. Duration: 06-12 months Location: Rochester, NY As a Quality Engineer, you will: Responsible for the identification and documentation of quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems. Facilitates the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products. Leads the preparation and execution of internal audits within established manufacturing and production controls to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications and standards. Liaises with auditing groups and inspectors to develop formal written reports and recommend corrective actions. Identifies trends in discrepancies and collaborates with process owners on the refinement and optimization of business processes. Oversees testing department activities and work of inspectors. Reviews, approves, and controls work order flow tags. Develops inspection techniques, tools, and supplemental inspection instructions in support of standards, methods and procedures. Participates in supplier corrective and preventative actions, including customer escapes, process nonconformities, supplier corrective actions, customer and change control, and material review board meetings. Intermediate professional with practical knowledge of job area. Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for own job area. Communicate with contacts inside and outside their own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Identifies and addresses changes within own job area. Works to achieve operational targets with some impact on departmental results. Review documentation for products upon receipt, primarily First Article Inspections. Participates in supplier corrective and preventative actions, including customer escapes, process nonconformities, supplier corrective actions, customer and change control, and material review board meetings. An Ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or related field. Requires advanced job knowledge/skills. Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills. Knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft Tool Suite Experience in the development of manufacturing work instructions Knowledge and/or experience with ISO9001/AS9100 Knowledge and/or experience with Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or similar PLM tool.
