The 5 South Medical Unit consists of 33 head walls. All our rooms are shared with one negative pressure equipped room and two single rooms to accommodate patients that need private room. Our average census is between 29-32 patients. We monitor patients that need frequent safety checks through a video monitoring system. We have the capability of accepting patients needing telemetry. We believe in patient and family centered care; we coordinate patient care with multi-disciplinary team members. We are certified and skilled to perform peritoneal dialysis. About Troy Hospital

Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services. Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize his/her safety. Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit. Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record. Orientation
This position requires a full week of corporate orientation. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. You will be required to attend the entire week consecutively. Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire Current CNA certification preferred How Corewell Health Cares for You
