HR Business Partner (Generalist) (Industrial Solutions)
This position will be based at the BorgWarner Arden facility in Western North Carolina and will transition to a new facility with a specific location to be finalized. The Arden campus offers a multitude of career opportunities and is in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. This position will be responsible for all Human Resource elements for the hourly and salary employees with their area of focus. This position will be responsible for collaborating with department managers on a regular basis to identify hiring needs, using various sources to attract candidates while growing a strong talent pipeline. These elements include but are not limited to recruitment and on-boarding, employee relations, benefits, and compensation. Key responsibilities include: Establish and promote a culture consistent with the BorgWarner beliefs and values including inclusion, integrity, excellence, responsibility, and community Responsible for promoting positive employee relations and supporting managers to build highly effective teams. Responsible for the recruiting efforts to attract the best talent for all positions at the Industrial Solutions campus, including salary and hourly openings. Including creation of job descriptions. Apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in employee and/or labor relations, compensation and benefits, organizational development, and training. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and dissemination through communications or meetings. Create and implement HR policies and procedures. Administer world class onboarding to increase retention and inclusion. Assist with identifying organizational development needs, implementing effective solutions, and building effective teams. Support talent reviews, career development, and succession planning including identifying talent gaps and implementing strategies to close them. Addressing team dynamics and resolving conflicts as well as managing individual employee cases. Continuous improvement and streamlining of processes to increase departmental efficiencies. Perform other duties as needed. What we're looking for includes: Bachelor's Degree in Related Field 2+ years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist position in a fast-paced diversified manufacturing environment (automotive preferred). Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources, including a thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. The ability to build strong relationships and establish strong interpersonal connections at all levels of the organization Proficient in MS Office Suite and HRIS (Workday preferred) Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. To be an enthusiastic, performance-driving individual who will pursue excellence in translating the employer brand passion, vision/mission of the organization into operational, quantitative Human Resources plans, goals, and schedules for improvement. The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when managing sensitive employee information. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing tasks and demands. Attendance on the job is essential.
