Indirect Operational Procurement Specialist
Location: Somerset, New Jersey Employment Type: 6 months contract to hire Compensation: Competitive, based on experience About the Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Indirect Operational Procurement Specialist to join our Global Business Services (GBS) team. This temporary position plays a key role in supporting the source-to-pay process, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods, materials, and services. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to meet operational needs while maintaining continuity of supply and compliance with procurement policies. Key Responsibilities Support indirect procurement needs across assigned business areas Collaborate with buyers to understand specifications and timelines Process and code purchasing card requests per policy Review requisitions for accuracy and policy compliance Track purchase orders and ensure goods receipt completion Resolve invoice exceptions and reconcile discrepancies Prepare purchase orders and blanket purchase orders (BPOs) Communicate with suppliers to meet delivery requirements and resolve issues Coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve blocked invoices Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field 3+ years of experience in procurement or related field Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Experience with Ariba or SAP Preferred Skills: Strong customer service mindset Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Knowledge of procurement best practices and legal contracting Strong analytical and organizational skills Experience working with cross-functional teams Why Join Us?
