Mro Warehouse Specialist

The MRO Warehouse Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the inventory of spare parts across three distinct cost centers: Evonik Biolys, Shared, and Veramaris. This position ensures accurate storage, retrieval, and timely fulfillment of orders by receiving incoming shipments, verifying part numbers, organizing stock, and picking and packing parts for customers. Maintaining detailed inventory records, adhering to safety regulations, and optimizing warehouse efficiency are essential responsibilities. The specialist acts as the central point for all parts movement within the warehouse, ensuring each cost center's inventory is kept physically separate and accurately recorded in the SAP system. Responsibilities:

Receiving and Inspecting Shipments: This involves unloading deliveries, verifying part numbers and quantities against purchase orders, checking for any damage, and reporting discrepancies to vendors to ensure accuracy and quality control.

Inventory Management: This includes organizing the warehouse efficiently, accurately storing parts in designated locations with proper labeling, maintaining stock levels, and performing cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and availability.

Order Fulfillment: This task involves picking and packing parts according to customer orders, ensuring correct quantities and packaging materials, and handling repair items promptly to meet customer expectations.

Shipping Coordination: Preparing necessary shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring outgoing shipments are loaded correctly to facilitate smooth distribution.

Data Entry (SAP & Excel): This involves updating inventory systems with details of received and shipped parts, including adjustments for any damaged or returned items, ensuring data accuracy and traceability.

Maintaining Warehouse Cleanliness and Safety: Following safety procedures, keeping the warehouse organized, reporting hazards, and completing daily sanitation logs to maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Compliance: Actively participating in team meetings and training sessions, reporting vital details promptly, understanding and complying with all ESH (Environmental, Safety, and Health), quality, and operational policies, and supporting miscellaneous duties as needed to contribute to the department's success.

Work is performed in a warehouse environment. Employee will be subject to a variety of body motion including but not limited to lifting, bending, walking, uneven surfaces, climbing, and frequent use of arms, hands, and wrist. In addition, the employee will be exposed to dust, variation of temperatures, noise and moving machinery.

Requirements:

Desire a person with a 2-year degree diploma or minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role

Strong organizational and attention to detail skills

Good written and verbal communication skills; professional telephone, email, and office etiquette; good listening skills.

Must be dependable, outgoing, and positive

Ability to lift and move heavy parts.

Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

Adaptability to perform repetitive work or to perform continuously the same work.

Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management

Forklift operation skills may be required depending on the warehouse setup.
