In Abbott's Electrophysiology and Heart Failure (EPHF) division, we're advancing the treatment of heart and vascular disease through breakthrough medical technologies, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives. As R&D Technician II, you will be part of our Electrophysiology catheter product development team focused on delivering the future in diagnostic, imaging, and ablation therapy catheters. This role will involve a range of responsibilities including but not limited to building various design concepts, defining assembly methods, documentation of builds and testing. What You'll Work On Ability to build working prototypes utilizing small components and assemblies. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Utilize computer software packages to document builds as well as perform electronic data collection. Prioritize work based on timelines to support project activities and deadlines Create and maintain accurate records for designs & build processes. Effective communication skills with cross functional team members. Ensure compliance with procedural and documentation requirements of Abbott, FDA, ISO and other regulatory bodies. Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment Required Qualifications High School Graduate or equivalent 2+ years' experience with assembly or testing devices Proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel. Good verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational skills, as well as attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications / Education Experience in building / testing electrophysiological, mapping & catheter ablation, medical devices. Knowledge/experience with a variety of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability. The base pay for this position is $23.25
$46.55 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
