Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
Zelis' Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will provide quality assurance/engineering and test automation expertise to contribute to the success of all technology initiatives. This role will also be responsible for measuring quality and identifying metrics to drive continuous improvement. You will be an integral part of our software development team. You will OWN system quality and testing. Position will work together within Scrum team to create and execute Manual and Automated tests to ensure system quality and performance. What You'll Do: Contribute to the development of a cutting-edge product in quality-driven engineering culture Design/Execute test plans, test scenarios, test cases/scripts in Azure DevOps Test Plan Define test data needed for planned test cases & support creation of test data using synthetic data generation tools in various environments Design, develop and execute automated scripts using our custom-built test automation framework Build automated tests compatible to run as part of CI/CD pipelines Perform manual and automated testing, which may include exploratory, system, regression, compatibility, system, and integration testing. Document test procedures, analysis, and results Plan, create, execute, and maintain manual test suite and automated scripts Define and build test automation aligned with the test pyramid - emphasizing strong foundation of unit and API tests Participate in daily standup, Iteration Planning and Release planning sessions Working directly with development and product to ensure all work is thoroughly tested. Document software defects using a defect tracking system and report those defects to project team Monitor defect resolution, include in test planning, and track outcomes of defect remediation Work with engineering teams to support validation of potential production issues; review production logs & key system outputs Document and derive learning opportunities from production issues to improve test practices Contribute to creating, maintaining, and evolving QA engineering practices and standards that are leveraged across Zelis Coach/Mentor QA Analysts and other QA engineers Follow established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies What You'll Bring to Zelis: Bachelors degree 7+ years of testing experience in the role of Software Quality Engineering and/or Test Engineering UI, API, and DB testing experience Experience with test plan creation & execution Experience with project defect reporting and tracking tools Experience with test case management tools Experience with custom built test automation frameworks and open-source tools Experience with Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) platforms Preferred Experience: Experience with testing / code management tools such as Azure Test Plans, Jira, UIPath Test Suite, GitHub Experience with test data management tools such as GenRocket Experience testing automation code written in Python or UIPath Experience in AI tool adoption for accelerating test practices Experience with OnBase application Healthcare experience Location and Workplace Flexibility: We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India.
