Position Overview

This position is primarily responsible for providing personal support to the campus with the highest need in a multifaceted role. This position requires you to cover all positions within Facilities. You may be responsible for coordinating and directing the day to day activities of the campus Facilities Team. The position works alongside the Facilities Team to ensure that facility standards, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met. Essential Functions

Ability to work in a multifaceted role that requires you to change roles as needed day to day to cover for the Vertex Facility Manager, school Facility Manager, Custodian, and Landscaper. Assists with campus deliveries and fleet maintenance drop off and pick up. Must have a strong working relationship and timely communication with the school administration and facility team. Assists in finding resolutions to problems and keeps an open line of communication with all staff to ensure high productivity and a positive working environment. Assists with interviewing and recommending new hires for the facilities department as needed. Provides onboarding and training for all facility team members to include managers, Custodians, and landscapers. Provides support for campus energy management programs. Assists with a preventative maintenance program that maintains a well operated mechanical system with HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Fire Protection Engineering. Responsible for managing the campus safety and security program by monitoring policies and procedures for providing a safe, clean, and comfortable learning environment. Ensures that all scheduled campus events are set up according to special event protocols. Follow local, state and federal OSHA related standards with workplace safety and Hazwopper regulations, to include SDS sheets and hazardous material storage. Follow compliance protocols with the daily use of cleaning chemicals, tools and power equipment. Assure that all facility team members have been and are using appropriate universal precautions (PPE) while engaged in cleaning and disinfecting procedures. Coordinate vendor services for specialty work within the Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC and Fire Protection Engineering sectors as needed. Participate in training programs and continuing education opportunities. Perform all other duties of a similar nature or level. Qualification Requirements

Education/Certification/Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D. One year of people management experience. One year of facility management experience. Behavioral Competencies: Possess strong communication skills, both verbally and written. Demonstrated ability to create a culture of teamwork, trust, and accountability. Flexibility and desire to work in a fast-paced and evolving organization. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize. Background Checks

The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check. Must be able to obtain and hold a valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times. Physical Requirements

Travel between campuses or Vertex is required on a daily basis. Employees must be able to stand and walk constantly on various floor surfaces while performing various duties, including but not limited to using push/pull force of up to 50 pounds for various machines. Employees must stand constantly and walk frequently lifting items of various sizes, up to 30 pounds. Items over 50 pounds require a second staff member to lift. Employees may be required to climb ladders. This position may require standing for long periods at times, talking on the phone, kneeling, stooping and long periods of concentration.
