Logistics Coordinator
Location: Highland Park, Illinois, USA (On-site, 5 days per week) Compensation: $60-75K annually, accompanied by an outstanding benefits package We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team. This position is integral to ensuring seamless inventory management and the efficient processing, shipment, and documentation of orders. You will engage with various teams across the organization, enhancing your exposure and expertise in logistics operations. Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate point-of-sale orders by managing stock allocation and directing warehouse activities. Ensure the maintenance of precise inventory levels and documentation. Handle claims for damaged or missing inventory and manage refunds. Batch and upload orders into the ERP system for streamlined operations. Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to address and resolve logistics challenges. Prepare and evaluate commercial shipping documents for accuracy. Organize shipments via truck, sea, and air, including quoting processes. Review carrier invoices for correctness and report any discrepancies. Provide stakeholders with timely updates on shipment status and potential delays. Create shipping labels using FedEx and DHL, and manage digital SKU assets via Dropbox. Perform additional administrative tasks related to logistics as needed. Physical Demands:
Frequent use of computer systems, including keyboards and screens. Regular sitting, with occasional lifting or manual handling required. Ability to hear and communicate effectively in a bustling office environment. Qualifications:
23 years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination. Proficiency in Excel, including functions like v-lookup, x-lookup, and pivot tables. Experience with both export and import processes. Strong background in inventory management and basic financial reconciliation. Keen attention to detail and adept problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Customer service oriented with a proactive approach. Solid understanding of shipping processes and required documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading. Experience with ERP systems, with NetSuite experience being advantageous. An Associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
