Supplier Development Engineer, Sr. II
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as a Supplier Development Engineer, Sr. II. This role develops, implements, leads and drives global supplier quality strategies for semiconductors. It provides regional/global leadership in the implementation, execution and enforcement of global commodity quality strategies in support of the business growth. Also, this role acts as Center of Expertise for manufacturing process of the respective commodity (Semiconductors). Responsibilities include supplier vetting, supplier assessment, strategic sourcing decision, and developing supplier capabilities. Key Responsibilities Create, execute, communicate and maintain global supplier quality strategy for commodity Create and implement Supplier Vetting Strategy, Supplier Capability Assessment, Supplier Selection (Pre-Sourcing) and Development Strategy, and Key Supplier Performance Metrics In collaboration with Global Commodity Manager, develop and implement supplier quality roadmap Benchmark suppliers on Best in Commodity production strategies Identify new technologies that support BorgWarner's growth and product leadership position in the market Identify and develop Suppliers that meet and/or exceed PDS long-term expectations that result in a differentiation in the marketplace Execute global quality assessment and Training of suppliers and BW SDE-Semiconductors Track and communicate global commodity industry trends, manufacturing strategies, technology factors and opportunities in the global marketplace What We Are Looking For Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University required Semiconductor Commodity experience required, minimum 5+ years 10+ years Supply Management experience working in Automotive Production environment preferred Increasing responsibility in an automotive production environment Proven record in Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and Process Improvement initiatives Demonstrated competence in negotiating skills and assessing vendors Excellent Quality Orientation Ability to provide training, coaching and mentoring to mid-level SDE's Ability to travel 50%-60% of the time Six Sigma Black Belt preferred What We Offer Medical and Prescription Drug Insurance Dental and Vision Insurance Retirement Savings Plan (401k) Life Insurance Paid Parental Leave Adoption & IVF Assistance Company Paid Holidays Company Paid Vacation Tuition Assistance Onsite Wellness Center with Nurse Practitioner Hybrid Work Environment What We Believe Inclusion - We value diversity in people, ideas, and experiences Integrity - We believe in transparency, authenticity, and depend on each other to deliver what we promise Excellence - We contribute to our developments by seeking knowledge and sharing information Responsibility - We care about our local communities and the global environment Collaboration - We are one BorgWarner Visa Sponsorship BorgWarner does provide sponsorship for employment visa status based on business need.
