The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Desktop Support Technician. The Desktop Support Technician installs and configures PC desktops, laptops, and printers and troubleshoots network connectivity to ensure continuous system availability to the users in accordance with sound PC support practices. Manages problem tickets as assigned through the call tracking system and builds, configures, rebuilds, or migrates desktop and laptop systems. Provides second-level application support for a wide variety of desktop applications. Key responsibilities include: Installs and configures PC desktops, laptops, and printers. Troubleshoots network connectivity related to desktops and laptops. Supports Microsoft Office and other office applications. Maintains ticket tracking database in conjunction with PC/LAN helpdesk. Qualifications: 2 years of completed college coursework towards a Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree required. Working knowledge of desktop technology including hardware, software, and network hardware. Ability to image and configure desktop hardware and deliver to customers. Knowledgeable about a wide range of software including multiple versions of Office, Windows, web browsers, and other business software. Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues while providing excellent customer service. Works independently on assigned tasks.
