Intake And Discharge Manager

Paradigm Treatment is currently seeking an Intake and Discharge Manager to work on-site at our programs in Malibu. The ideal candidate will be able to support youth, young adults, and families through the admissions process into our residential treatment center by providing hope, and inspiration while demonstrating expert levels of empathy and understanding. Core Duties as the Intake/Discharge Coordinator: Partner with the admissions team and clinical team and manage the process of facilitating all intakes and discharges within our residential facilities. Monitors and maintains documentation of client services, ensuring compliance with Agency policies and procedures, Department of Mental Health contract, and other related state/federal agencies' standards and guidelines The Intake and Discharge coordinator will also assist our outcomes research project by gathering feedback, reviews, and assessments that will better companies' processes. Develops and maintains care coordinator skills through seminars, workshops, or other forms of training/education related to working with adults with a history of mental illness and/or substance abuse. Work as a liaison with potential clients and clinical and administrative teams to ensure an expedited intake process. Answers inquiry calls from all persons with regard to information about treatment center services and programs. Facilitate the discharge process by working directly with the clinical team and business development to help identify and coordinate discharge recommendations, extensions/discharge dates, and referrals, including organizing and sending client referral packets. Manage the discharge process while utilizing discharge tools and tracking the entire process through the EMR, while ensuring constant communication with billing and Utilization Review team members. Exciting Qualities You Will Have: Understanding of diverse cultures and gender-specific issues and the ability to incorporate the needs of culturally diverse groups into the intake experience. A minimum of two (2) years of residential or facilities management/supervision is preferred. Previous experience in a residential or behavioral healthcare setting is preferred. Experience with KIPU is a plus. Knowledge of mental health, substance abuse, and teen treatment as a whole. Current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
