Jacobs is seeking an experienced Transit Safety professional to support its rail transit program management team in New York. The Deputy Transit Safety Manager will work with the overall program leadership team, reviewing and approving safety, security and environmental plans and procedures; and supporting the work of Lead Safety Manager and Project Managers in driving related principles into the delivery of a wide range of client services. The Deputy Transit Safety Lead will also provide direct client support in tasks requiring the development and implementation of safety, security and environmental programs as required for projects in design, procurement, oversight of implementation (including construction management), and potentially in support of contracted operations and maintenance. The Deputy Transit Safety Lead may be required to work from a variety of Jacobs and client offices and project sites, as necessary to support the program in New York. Post graduate years of applicable experience in MTA/New York City Transit safety environment Transit Safety and Security Program (TSSP) Certified preferred Valid OSHA 30 and NYCT Track Training preferred Transit safety experience with local clients Proven ability to work across multiple disciplines to coordinate work on behalf of public sector clients Experience with safety and security programs, policies, standard operating procedures and/or emergency preparedness documents or programs to meet the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) requirements desirable, with a focus on Safety Management Systems (SMS), System Safety Program Plan(s) (SSPP) and System Security Plan(s) (SSP). The base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 to $125,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
