Carillon Senior Living is recruiting for a hospitality-focused server to join our culinary team! This role provides full-scope, hands-on serving functions within the community. Summary Of Responsibilities
The Waitstaff/Server is responsible for table service in the community dining rooms and is responsible for assisting the Dining Room Manager with the overall operation, coordination, appearance and maintenance of the dining area and waitress station and ensuring that courteous and efficient services are delivered. Essential Job Functions
Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order. Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously. Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service. Answers pertinent questions about menu items. Assists with dish washing and distribution of clean dishes, if needed. Assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests. Advises the Restaurant Manager regarding dining room status. Set up all catering events and clean up after all catering events. Completes all assigned cleaning tasks. Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas. Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Other Responsibilities
Coming to work with a positive attitude. It is your responsibility to get your shift covered if you can't work your scheduled shift. Coming to work in proper uniform. You must stay for your entire shift, unless approved by management. Spreading gossip will not be tolerated in the work place. If a manager or team leader asks you to complete a task you must do so promptly without question or attitude. In case of an emergency it is your responsibility to call in two hours before your shift to the Skylight Manager. If you call in sick and do not get your shift covered you must provide a doctor's note on your next scheduled shift. No exceptions. You must conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times. Do not share any internal Carillon information or situations with the residents. All side duties must be completed before the end of your shift. If you leave before they are complete it will result in disciplinary actions. You must conduct yourself in a respectful manner towards management and your co-workers. It is your responsibility to follow all sanitary guidelines and health regulations. You are responsible for answering the Skylight order phone if it is ringing. You are responsible for setting up, serving, and breaking down all scheduled caterings assigned. Hospitality Focus

Must have effective communication skills, both oral and written. Have the ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Position requires empathy for the elderly. Have the ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests. Education And Experience
Have at least a high school diploma/GED preferred. Have a minimum of three (3) months previous experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred; will train. Personal And Public Contact
The Waitstaff/Server will have personal contact with all levels of Carillon staff, residents, visitors, and outside community agencies. Physical/Mental Conditions
The Waitstaff/Server will have light to moderate physical effort ninety percent (90%) of the time. Must be able to stand/walk for 100% of the workday. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. independently. Must be able to push and pull bus carts weighing up to 50 lbs. independently. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the workday. May be exposed to industrial cleaning chemicals, communicable diseases including the HIV and Hepatitis B virus, and offensive odors. Equipment Used
The Waitstaff/Server will use the following equipment: transport carts, oven, stove, freezer, and other various cooking machines. Compliance
