The Role

Our Banking & Financial Services Group is looking for a Consulting Manager to join our journey. We're looking for someone who is a Sr. Business Analyst within the Banking domain. We're hiring experienced Business Analysts with deep knowledge of payment systems and a strong consulting mindset to support a strategic modernization initiative. This program focuses on evaluating and enhancing current payment capabilities across Wires, Fedwire, and ACH, including integration analysis, vendor evaluation, and future-state design aligned with emerging technologies like AI and automation. Ideal candidates will have a solid background in payments hub implementation, operations and infrastructure, coupled with experience delivering large-scale discovery and vendor selection engagements in financial services environments. We're looking for Consulting Managers who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Consulting Manager this means leading a team of Consultants through a client-facing engagement, managing escalations, and serving as the owner of a workstream; maintaining expertise in your domain; meaningfully contributing to the sales process through a mix of RPI development, client presentations, financial modeling, pricing strategy, and flawless delivery; creating service offerings and/or client partner training materials; and contributing to People Care initiatives, recruiting, and mentoring. Lead discovery workshops and facilitate interviews with business, operations, and technology stakeholders Develop a functional capability map for Wires, Fedwire, and ACH, identifying key services and process flows Document current-state business and technical capabilities, including touchpoints with internal systems and external vendors Define future-state capabilities, supporting platform modernization, automation, and operational excellence Partner with Solution Architects to map integration touchpoints (e.g., MuleSoft, MQ, Informatica) Prepare RFIs and RFPs, evaluate vendor solutions against strategic and functional criteria Support cost-benefit analysis, migration strategies, and vendor scoring matrices Draft and deliver high-impact business artifacts: Business Requirements Documents (BRD) Capability models and process flows RFI/RFP documentation and response evaluation Vendor comparison summaries and dashboards Executive-level presentations in PowerPoint Qualifications

5-7+ years of Business Analysis experience in financial services, with at least 3 years in Payments (Wires, Fedwire, ACH), payments hub implementations Demonstrated expertise in requirements gathering, process analysis, and vendor evaluation Experience supporting buy vs. build assessments and structured RFI/RFP processes Strong knowledge of payment industry standards and messaging formats, including ISO 20022 Familiarity with integration tools and platforms such as MuleSoft, Informatica, and Message Queues Strong consulting presence and stakeholder management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel), Visio, and requirements documentation tools Excellent written & verbal communication skills Nice to have skills

Experience in integration to core banking environments & payment orchestration Exposure to automation, AI-driven workflow optimization, or intelligent document processing in financial ops Previous consulting experience at a bank or with a major system integrator or consulting firm Agile delivery experience, Jira/Confluence knowledge a plus Work Authorization
