Job Title

This role supports the rehabilitation of a water/wastewater facility and plays a key part in making sure construction stays on track, compliant, and coordinated. You'll be out in the field inspecting contractor work, reviewing plans and specs, snapping daily site photos, and keeping an eye on progress. You'll work closely with engineers, contractors, and the owner to ensure quality, safety, and minimal disruption to operations. Responsibilities include: Inspect contractor work for compliance with contract documents, RFIs, submittals, and approved changes. Issue and track non-compliance reports until resolution or acceptance. Monitor project progress and document schedule delays with context. Verify installed quantities in the field and assist with final reconciliation. Inspect erosion and stormwater controls per SWPPP requirements. Witness and document field and factory tests. Assist with testing, startup, and commissioning of new systems. Prepare daily inspection reports and photo documentation. Maintain pre-construction records including photos and videos. Review and verify Contractor's as-built drawings during construction. Review and evaluate test lab reports; follow up as needed. Perform quantity take-offs for proposed and completed work. Coordinate with Owner, Engineer, Contractor, and testing labs to ensure required inspections and permits are completed. Attend and support progress and coordination meetings. Help minimize impacts to the Owner, public, and stakeholders. Supervise up to a 6-person construction inspection team and material testing staff on one or more projects. Schedule inspectors and labs based on project needs. Manage team resources and training (e.g., PPE, safety, tools, JHAs). Review and approve inspector timesheets and lab invoices. Assist with pay application reviews. Evaluate contractor claims and constructability issues. Support project closeout efforts. Help identify potential project risks by proactively reviewing site conditions, drawings, and contractor progress. Assist with review of proposed concrete mix designs. Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in general civil, facility, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, control, and specialty fields of construction. Prior experience with large capital improvement and public works projects involving coordination among multi-disciplined contractors. Prior supervisory or lead inspector experience. Expertise and knowledge of all CSI divisions (vertical and horizontal construction). Proficiency in reading, understanding, and correlating plans and specifications. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project. 10-hour OSHA safety course (required); 40-hour Supervisor course (preferred). First Aid & CPR training (preferred). ICBO or equivalent certification (preferred). Valid Driver's License Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc.
