Coast And Border Surveillance Lab Lead

This position is an opportunity requiring a self-motivated candidate for the Coast and Border Surveillance (CBS) Lab lead, Ports and Waterways Safety System (PAWSS) related program support, and associated systems. This assignment will be located at the Syracuse New York facility. The candidate will be working to support the program and engineering labs in Syracuse. This role will require travel to various locations to assist with troubleshooting system components, support test events, and other program related duties at other Lockheed facilities or program partners. The candidate can expect to encounter daily activities like the following but are not limited to these: Lab Manager: Work with facilities, housekeeping (IHR), shipping, material stock room, to place work orders and report issues with the lab space. Repair workstation/servers, load and configure Windows OS, and make/test/run cables. Maintain the badge reader access list. Calibration assets (SYR-ENG MTM LAB): Send equipment to/from the calibration lab and make sure it is suitable for use. New custodian will need to take over my assets in the system. Material Management: Perform audits and location tracking. Place work orders (facilities work orders and IPTs). Shipping: Ship and receive using the "eShipping" system. Facilitate equipment moves between buildings and to our customer sites. Property Custodian: Maintain P&E and GFE property. New custodian will need to take over the assets in the system. Basic Qualifications: Domestic travel and or international travel to low and medium risk security level countries is required. Strong electronic troubleshooting and basic hardware maintenance skills (repair cables). Strong written and verbal communications skills required. Proficient using MS Office Software including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows administration (workstation, servers, domains, active directory, group policies, cloning). Basic knowledge of Networking, Oracle Database knowledge, Storage (RAID, Clusters), Virtualization (Hyper-V, virtual machines, iSCSI). Will need to have or obtain a DoD CAC, Security + certification. Desired Skills: Advanced networking (T1, E1, TDM, Microwave, leased line, MPLS, VLAN, routing, switching, VOIP, QoS, ACL, VPN, firewalls, encryption, multicast, etc.). Ability to write and review white papers, CDRLs, procedures, and job aids. Basic Unix and scripting knowledge. Microsoft Deployment Toolkit/Windows Deployment Services. GenBOE proposal experience. This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,800 - $130,180. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
