As a new Behavior Specialist at Wasatch Behavioral Health your work days may vary between Monday and Friday, 9:00pm-3:30pm (Summer) & changing from 2:00pm to 7:00pm during the School Year, with a competitive wage of $16.25-$20.59 per hour. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include implementing behavioral interventions, conducting assessments, monitoring progress, and providing support to clients and their families. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and participate in team meetings to ensure continuity of care. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to attend training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in behavioral health interventions. To excel as a Behavior Specialist at Wasatch Behavioral Health, you should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with youth and their families. Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential qualities for this role. You should demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, creativity in developing interventions, and the capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment. A background or interest in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is beneficial. Moreover, a passion for helping others, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations will contribute to your success in this position. Pre & Post adoption experience is helpful. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00pm-3:30pm (Summer) & changing from 2:00pm to 7:00pm during the School Year. Compensation: $16.49-$20.90 per hour. Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
