Senior Manager, Design, Communications & Digital Engagement

Boston University Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences is one of the country's leading schools of health and rehabilitation sciences. The Senior Manager for Design, Communications & Digital Engagement collaborates with the colleges Dean and senior leadership to execute marketing and communication plans to advance the College's marketing opportunities and elevate the reputation of its graduate training programs. The Sr. Manager will plan and manage the colleges communications and outreach efforts by leveraging software, data analytics, and digital platforms. The Sr. Manager possesses advanced knowledge and technical skills to design and produce original content for the colleges website, social media outlets, newsletters, email marketing, and other publications for internal and external stakeholders. They will track and analyze data to inform decision-making and communication strategy and report on the impact of the colleges publications, media mentions, and web/social/email analytics, identify challenges and use independent judgement to improve and optimize marketing for a wide variety of college initiatives. The Sr. Manager works independently and collaboratively to design and develop compelling and innovative web, digital, and print materials that improve user experience and raise the visibility of Sargent College with key audiences while creating and maintaining a consistent brand identity for the college. They will create new content, plan social media campaigns, design digital newsletters, and collaborate with marketing and communications teams across the university. They will collaborate on a regular and ongoing basis with the colleges Graduate Enrollment team to support annual enrollment goals as well as with Development & Alumni Relations and to increase awareness, brand recognition, and engagement. The Manager leads marketing campaigns for virtual and in-person events, working with cross-functional teams, requiring occasional evening and weekend work. The Sr. Manager will be an engaged member of the Graduate Enrollment team and a hands-on contributor to the graduate admissions process, including providing operational and administrative support to drive application growth and enhance the prospective student journey. This position will report directly to the Sr Director, Graduate Enrollment with dotted line reporting structure to the Associate Dean for Finance & Administration. The Sr. Manager will be a self-starter and a problem solver, with excellent design and technical abilities, who is able to navigate multiple software platforms, from graphic design to social media platforms and web design, and who will adopt new technologies to address diverse audiences, and views challenges as opportunities for growth and innovation. They will have the ability to translate strategic thinking from college leadership into action plans, output, and results, and are a persuasive communicator, with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills. This position does not have direct reports. It requires hands-on execution and will successfully navigate cross-function teams at the college level and will serve as liaison with central university units focused on marketing and communication. Applicants are asked to submit a portfolio that includes 3-4 work samples that highlight their graphic design capabilities, writing abilities, and analytical skills.
