Senior Royalties Analyst
As a Senior Royalty Analyst on the Financial Contract Reporting (FCR) team, you will play a vital role in delivering accurate royalty reporting across Crunchyroll's global content portfolio. You will sit at the intersection of finance, legal, and operations requiring a foundation and the ability to interpret complex agreements and financial data. You will collaborate with teams across the globe to support royalty reporting, guide process improvements, and ensure contractual compliance with licensors and content partners. Key Responsibilities: Work cross-departmentally to enhance workflows, ensuring seamless execution of royalty process and superior service to licensors. Work with international counterparts to ensure alignment of Royalty processes and tracking of financial components impacting reporting and payouts (Revenue, P&A costs, Advances shortfalls) Assist in preparing financial decks and reports for internal and external stakeholders Supports internal partners with inquiries and/or projects related to royalty reporting Perform royalty-related financial analysis as requested by Senior Management Participate in system testing and data cleansing and provide input into enhancements to the Rights Management/Royalty tools. Prepare and analyze quarterly royalty statements, ensuring all financial obligations outlined in agreements are met Drive continuous improvement by optimizing processes, documentation, and cross-training initiatives Performs monthly and quarterly data validations and reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy. Manage external inquiries and correspondence with licensors, ensuring a high level of responsiveness and accuracy Review and interpret licensing agreements to ensure proper royalty calculations and reporting compliance. Coordinate with Accounts Payable (AP) to validate billing and payments This role works a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite at our Dallas or Los Angeles office. About You: 5+ years of experience in accounting, with exposure to third party participation, royalty reporting, and content accounting in the entertainment industry Experience with international deal analysis in a large corporate setting. Ability to read and interpret legal agreements. Hands on experience analyzing large quantities of data, resolve discrepancies and deliver data-driven answers. Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders. Hands-on approach with a willingness to mentor others, streamline processes, and drive efficiency.
