Overview
FirstHealth of the Carolinas is a nationally recognized health care system located in central North Carolina. Assures that clinical service objectives are established, approved by COO FirstHealth Physician Group and implemented. Plans, develops, administers, and evaluates service operating and capital budgets. Is responsible for all business operations. Assumes overall accountability for sound fiscal management. Participates in development/implementation of the strategic plan as it relates to Neurology Services. Plans/implements/markets/evaluates new clinic start-ups and acquisitions. Works to assure that ongoing quality and integrated patient care services are provided. Works with IS to plan and implement technology upgrades as needed. Assures ongoing activities/efforts in recruitment/retention in clinics. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Management preferred or related work experience. Certification, in compliance, coding or areas associated with practice management preferred. Minimum 5-10 years' experience in active practice management and/or project management. EPIC trained/certified or relative work experience. Supervisory experience required. Background in Cardiology and or Maternal Fetal Medicine management. Operational benchmarking, budgeting, compensation and new project development. Capable of managing resources and implementing strategic plans that generate growth and new volume in a practice setting. Knowledgeable of multiple systems and how each interrelates to a clinical setting: Ability to plan, organize, and work independently; Ability to practice effective communication techniques both orally and in writing; ability to establish and identify priorities within varied work requirements of this position. The ideal candidate should be adept at troubleshooting, be able to manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously, be customer service oriented, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong people, personnel management, team building and communication skills. Possess computer literacy on sophisticated levels. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, insurance guidelines, including but not limited to reimbursement, third party payers, pre-certification, ICD-10 and CPT coding.
