Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit
The Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit is a high-acuity cardiac surgical unit focused on fostering continuous learning while developing high level critical thinking and technical skills. The unit supports a culture of engagement and professional growth by encouraging participation in unit/organizational committees, councils, and other professional organizations. Teamwork, accountability, and collaboration are common practice expectations. Peer to peer relationships are developed by working side by side to provide an exceptional experience for our patients and their loved ones. The heart and vascular systems demand extraordinary care. It begins with heart specialists who can expertly monitor your entire heart and vascular system and perform anything from a bypass to vascular surgery to a heart and lung transplant. Performs receptionist/secretarial duties and maintains confidential records, supplies and equipment per hospital and unit specific standards. Greets and directs guests on the unit in a manner that reflects a welcoming environment. Performs computer entry, schedules tests/procedures, processes orders, and performs other related activities per unit/hospital standard within a reasonable time frame. After multiple weeks of orientation are completed with training on the unit, the core schedule begins. This job is 2 shifts bi-weekly and has a set schedule for a 6 week timeblock: Sunday, Monday Tuesday, Wednesday Friday, Saturday Sunday, Monday Tuesday, Wednesday Friday, Saturday Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent experience 2 years of related experience strongly preferred Primary Location SITE - Butterworth Hospital - 100 Michigan St - Grand Rapids Department Name CTICU - GR Employment Type Part time Shift Day (United States of America) Weekly Scheduled Hours 24 Hours of Work 7:00am - 7:30pm Days Worked Core Schedule Weekend Frequency Every third weekend
