We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President of Sales to oversee the sales strategy for branded product lines across our distinct companies. This senior role is responsible for developing a shared go-to-market vision, integrating best practices, and driving collective sales performance across water works and natural gas product lines. The ideal candidate is an experienced sales executive with a proven track record of leading in multi-entity or matrixed environments, capable of balancing autonomy with alignment. This role requires high-level strategic thinking, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to serve our customers, the Boss! Responsibilities of this position: Strategic Sales Leadership
Design and lead a unified sales strategy that drives performance across all companies' branded product lines. Identify synergies and shared opportunities for growth, sales channel development, and customer engagement across companies. Lead annual sales planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Cross-Company Integration
Serve as central sales architect, facilitating collaboration and cohesion across separate sales teams while respecting brand individuality. Implement shared tools, KPIs, dashboard, and reporting structure to drive accountability and visibility across all water & gas product lines. Promote and commit best practices in sales operations, training and customer service leadership. Oversee and drive adoption of sales technology including customer relationship management (CRM) and Power BI.
Team Leadership & Development
Inspire and guide sales leaders provide mentorship, direction and performance management support. Establish and maintain strong relationships with all senior executives to facilitate a work environment where mutual support by and of the management team allows taking quicker advantage of opportunities and faster resolution to issues. Build a culture of shared success, continuous improvement and high performance. Builds, develops and manages a professional sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives. Hire, develop, train, motivate and ensure the success of a nationwide sales force.
Brand & Customer Strategy
Ensure each company's branded products have clear market positioning and strategic selling approaches aligned with customer needs. Drive customer segmentation, pricing strategy, and value propositions. Travel for in-person meetings with customers to develop key relationships and attend regional and national shows.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with executive leadership, marketing, product development, and operations teams across all companies to align priorities. Lead sales initiatives within strategic planning process and brand growth initiatives. Accountable for financial reports including forecasting, budgets, and quarterly reporting. Work closely with the management team to keep abreast of and communicate sales team performance, market trends, industry developments and market activity.
Education & Experience: Hold a bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university. Minimum of 10 years of management experience in sales and marketing functions with at least 5 years leading sales and marketing teams. Have excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization. Exhibit broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning, sales and marketing, business and market development, market research and sales planning and promotions/advertising. Demonstrated success developing or unifying sales strategies across diverse business units. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
