Tetra Tech Disaster Recovery Team is currently hiring a Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP) Community Resource Officer to assist with relief efforts following Hurricane Helene in the state of Georgia. The DCMP Community Resource Officer is responsible for coordination between GAVOADs, LTRGs, non-profit organizations and other community groups aiding Hurricane Helene survivors. This role requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities: Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to connect survivors with the resources needed to close the gap of hurricane-related unmet needs. Attend community meetings both in person and virtually. Develop and maintain a library of available resources for Disaster Case Managers utilize. Plan and facilitate community outreach events to connect survivors with resources. Produce weekly reports for leadership team. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge of disaster response and recovery strategies. Qualifications: Minimum of bachelor's degree in related field and 5+ years of related work experience with working knowledge of case management. A combination of industry experience and degree may be substituted. Must have reliable transportation (must use your own vehicle). Have a valid driver's license. Must be able to work on site in Georgia and drive during operating hours to work in DCM offices, visit shelters, community events, conduct home visits, and other in-person assignments. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to maintain professional demeanor during incidents. Knowledge of social services resources and support systems. Proficient in MS Office. Standard Schedule: This is a temporary assignment expected to last up to 24 months. Work hours are 8 hours per day 5 days per week. 30 Minute Lunch & 2 Fifteen Minute Breaks Work on the weekend may be occasionally required. In order to be considered for this position: 1) You must submit and pass a background check; AND 2) Your driving record must not indicate any of the following during the past 3 years: Punitive suspension, denial, or revocation of driver's license. Conviction for impaired or intoxicated driving (DWAI, DUI, DWI). Conviction of: reckless driving, driving with a suspended/denied/revoked license, hit and run or leaving the scene. Conviction of 3 or more moving violations, at fault accidents or a combination.
