$70,000$80,000 This full-time role requires a committed Buyer to work on-site five days a week in Illinois. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to enhance our Merchandising team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing purchasing operations across various product categories, including apparel, displays, and barware, specifically for the wine and spirits sector. Key Responsibilities
Oversee purchasing activities in line with a bi-annual forecasting and distribution schedule. Keep inventory reports current and analyze levels, pricing, and inbound stock status regularly. Provide recommendations on product assortment based on sales feedback and stock movement. Source and manage communications with both domestic and international suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to production standards. Ensure alignment between the internal item catalogue, ERP system, and warehouse records. Qualifications
35 years of experience in a buying or planning-related role. Strong supplier negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships domestically and internationally (experience sourcing consumer goods via Asia is a plus). Proficiency in inventory and purchase order management, with a preference for experience using ERP systems like NetSuite. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, procurement, or a related field. Experience in the consumer goods sector is advantageous but not required. Benefits
