This position is in the Single-Family Data and Decisions group within the Single-Family Portfolio and Servicing Division on the Data Business Management team. The Data Business Management team provides business projects support to Freddie Mac's corporate shared data repository, Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW). Your Impact
Supports and provides subject matter expertise on upgrades and projects by performing impact analysis (including upstream and downstream), testing, data analysis/lineage, creates operational support requirements.
Articulates and documents business requirements with the ability to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and performs postproduction validation of solution implemented.
Performs all levels of data analysis, leveraging current data sources including databases, data and process models, business requirements and other artifacts Independently determines and develops approach to solutions, working under limited direction.
Acts as a liaison between business area and technical team to ensure all parties have complete understanding of issues/requests, requirements and process steps to ensure alignment and successful outcome.
Responsible for maintaining process documentation and other relevant records as needed.
Provides on-call support as needed
Employs extensive professional expertise as a generalist or specialist. Develops resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of ingenuity and creativity.
Follows established processes, procedures, and directions. Qualifications
Typically has 2-4 years of related experience
College Degree or equivalent experience
Experience gathering, analyzing, evaluating data issues/requests and articulating business requirements and documenting with the ability to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and perform postproduction validation of solution implemented
UNIX and Windows operating systems
Experience with DB2, Sybase and Oracle database
SQL, SAS, and XML
Data analysis/mining and analytical skills
Service Now and MS Office
Previous customer relations experience with business and technical teams
Experience working as business analyst/data analyst Keys To Success In This Role
Advanced studies/degree
Experience in the mortgage industry, Freddie Mac, and information needs
Experience with Software Development Life Cycle
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changes
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Familiarity with data management practices and data architecture
