Licensed Dental Assistant (Lda)
Job Location: Saint Paul, MN Salary Range: $28.00 - $34.00 Job Category: Dental Assistant We're expanding! Join our team in St. Paul as a full-time Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) starting in the summer of 2025! Our new beautiful, state-of-the-art dental clinic is currently under construction and will open for patient care in July 2025. Community Dental Care is Minnesota's largest provider of comprehensive dental care for people of all ages on public programs. We operate five clinics across the state, including Maplewood, St. Paul, Crystal, Rochester and Buffalo. Enjoy meaningful work in a collaborative environment that fosters professional growth Provide culturally sensitive oral health care, preventive education, professional training, and advocate for access for all Perform comprehensive dental care with a focus on the health needs of the patients Complete preliminary charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures; take vital signs, and radiographs Perform mechanical polishing to clinical crowns, take impressions and a bite registration, etch appropriate enamel surfaces, apply and adjust pit and fissure sealants, place and remove rubber dam, place temporary fillings and recement intact temporary restorations Remove sutures, place and remove periodontal dressings, place cotton pellets and temporary restorative materials Under supervision, administer nitrous oxide inhalation anesthesia and monitor patient Perform restorative procedures such as placing, contouring, and adjusting amalgam and composite restorations, and adapting and cementing stainless steel crowns Completion of an accredited dental assisting program Dental Assisting licensure in MN (or pending licensure) CPR/AED certification Experience working with culturally diverse communities preferred Proficiency in a second language preferred St. Paul Clinic Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:20am-4:00pm Friday 7:20am-2:00pm Comprehensive medical, dental and life insurance Paid time off; 401k plus company match Internal growth and professional development opportunities CE classes and license renewals At Community Dental Care, we provide high quality dental care in a caring, culturally respectful manner.
