Join our team as Weekend Soccer Referees! We need dedicated individuals to officiate games, engage with players to boost their skills and assist in setting up and running events. We seek passionate individuals with technical expertise and a knack for mentorship on the court. Key responsibilities include: Officiate sports games with fairness and integrity, ensuring adherence to the rules and regulations of the sport. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to players during games, emphasizing skill development and sportsmanship. Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere for players, encouraging teamwork, respect, and healthy competition. Actively engage with players, offering personalized coaching to help them improve their game strategies and techniques. Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor, serving as a role model for young athletes both on and off the field. Collaborate with other referees and coaches to ensure smooth game operations and effective communication. Carefully set up and break down venues, demonstrating consideration to maintain positive relationships with the venue. Qualifications
To qualify, candidates must: Lift/carry a minimum of 35lb. Commit to full weekend work. Have prior experience in officiating basketball games or relevant sports activities. Demonstrate a strong understanding of basketball rules and regulations. Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with young athletes. Show passion for mentoring and coaching youth players, fostering their personal and athletic development. Maintain composure and make quick, fair decisions in high-pressure game situations. Commit to upholding the values of sportsmanship and fair play.
