This institution was the predecessor of the Ohio State School for the Blind. It was the first public school for the blind in the United States. Today, more than 100 Ohio blind and visually impaired students receive their education each year at OSSB. Job Description

Purpose: Substitute for permanent teacher. Instructs, follows lesson plans, and assesses student knowledge on behalf of the permanent teacher; Maintains a well-structured educational environment; Monitors students when needed; Maintains professional licensure and development; Performs other duties as assigned.
