Chiropractic Science And Clinical Education Adjunct Instructor
This position covers instruction for taping and casting course. The course provides hands-on laboratory training intended to provide the chiropractic student with the basic knowledge and skills to appropriately select and apply necessary support and protection with athletic/kinesiology tape, elastic wraps, plaster splints, and OTC braces when treating musculoskeletal injuries and other common conditions of the upper and lower extremities. Key Responsibilities
Prepares lessons and teaches procedures based on existing syllabus. Demonstrates and monitors student practice of proper skills technique and patient interactions. Compiles, administers, and grades examinations. Maintains a safe environment in the classroom. Creates syllabi and course outline. Contributes to evaluations of students' non-cognitive behavior. Maintains expertise in area of instruction. Position Qualifications
Education & Training
Required: Prior teaching experience in a university or professional education program preferred Certifications & Licenses
Required: Graduate of a CCE-accredited Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program. Required: Maintain an active license to practice as a chiropractic physician in the state of Oregon (or acquire such licensure shortly after hire). Experience
Required: Teaching Experience Related Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Required: Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Required: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Required: Ability to access current electronic information. Preferred: Expertise in evidence-informed practice skills preferred Other Qualifications
Have sufficient stamina to provide lecture and/or lab instruction with brief breaks over a 1 to 4-hour period. Have sufficient mobility to move among students engaged in various types of lab activities. Have sufficient visual acuity to accurately identify pertinent structures and/or details as instructional activities demand. Have sufficient manual dexterity to operate pertinent tools and/or equipment as instructional activities demand. Application, Screening and Hiring Process:
