UNIX/LINUX Administrator Lead
UNIX/LINUX Administrator Lead Job Location: Portsmouth, VA (On-Site/Office) Job Responsibilities: Supporting the operating system configuration and associated file systems, log files, processes, problem determination, problem resolution, software, administration tools, utilities, security, and hardware. Managing the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Expert level experience in Red Hat Linux administration, server virtualization, application/Web server administration Apache/Tomcat/Weblogic, DNS and BIND, oracle directory services, CISCO firewalls routers and switches, and network/storage connectivity configuration and troubleshooting. Minimum Qualifications: An active, in-scope US Government issued Secret with Tier 5, or higher. Due to the nature of the work and US Government required, US Citizenship is required. Four (4) years of experience as a computer system administrator, of which at least three (3) years must be specialized experience in administrating UNIX/LINUX. The UNIX/LINUX Administrator shall have demonstrated experience as described above. IAT-II Certification. Education: Bachelor's degree in an IT related discipline AND four (4) years of experience as described above; OR seven (7) relevant years of experience as described above.
