Senior Associate, Frontend Engineer
MSCI, Inc. seeks Senior Associate, Frontend Engineer in New York, NY, to participate on MSCI ONE software engineering team and work with various stakeholders to develop and enhance the MSCI ONE software platform. Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing software engineering experience developing and deploying high-quality code; demonstrating understanding of core web development fundamentals, including HTML and CSS; utilizing JavaScript or TypeScript in developing enterprise-level applications. One (1) year of experience must include working with frameworks including React or Angular; utilizing experience with backend integration with RESTful APIs; working with unit-testing frameworks including Jest or Jasmine; utilizing modern authorization mechanisms including OAuth; utilizing front-end development tools including Babel, Webpack, and NPM; utilizing experience working with Node.js; working with version control and continuous integration (CI) through GitHub; working with cloud computing platforms including Azure or AWS; contributing on all phases of the software development lifecycle including defining scope, gathering estimates, translating requirements into technical specifications, and executing against a delivery plan in an agile scrum; participating in code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures; identifying opportunities for process improvements in a coding environment and implementing them; and collaborating with stakeholders to understand user needs and requirements. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. Offered salary is between $140,380 and $146,300 per year. 40 hours per week.
