Truck Driver/Laborer - DPW - Full-time
Immediate openings for Truck Driver/Laborer (Grade 13) within the Public Works Department. This is an opportunity to enter the municipal sector. Duties will include maintaining a safe workplace, operating construction equipment, snow and ice removal, landscaping/construction, vehicle/ground building maintenance, paving, storm water/drainage, and other duties as assigned. Candidates must be able to understand and follow oral and written directives. Excellent benefits to include NH Retirement System participation, 2 weeks' vacation per year, 3 personal days, 12 holidays, vision, health and dental insurance, and more. Medical options include 3 HMO plans. One with 85/15 premium split, one Limited Provider plan with 100% of the premium paid, and one High Deductible HSA plan with 100% of the premium paid. If opting out of health insurance (requires proof of coverage on another group plan), we provide opt-out amount of $4,714.56 annually (single, 2 per or family = $196.44/pay period). A successful applicant must be at least 18 years of age, have a NH Class B CDL (REQUIRED) - Class A CDL is preferred, have a High School diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of 2 years of progressive experience within the area of winter/summer municipal road maintenance; OR possess any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the required knowledge, skill, and ability.
