Maintenance Technician
We are seeking dedicated Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Fort Wayne, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our milk, cottage cheese, and sour cream production facilities. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and addressing reactive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality of equipment and machinery. Responsibilities: Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment and machinery. Perform reactive maintenance tasks as needed. Work on conveyors, palletizing/wrapping machines, bag sealers, filler machines, blow molds, and mixing machines. Maintain label printers, fix and change pipes and valves, and conduct facilities maintenance. Provide maintenance support for forklifts. Be available for on-call duties on Sundays, with team rotation. Essential Skills: Mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience. Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Experience with conveyors and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD). Possession of own tooling (hand/power tools). Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience in the food and beverage industry. Controls experience. Experience with servo systems. Work Environment: This role offers openings on 2nd and 3rd shifts: 2nd shift runs Monday to Friday from 2pm to 10pm, and 3rd shift runs Monday night to Friday night from 9pm to 5:30am. Overtime may be required as needed. The maintenance team rotates on-call duties on Sundays, with compensation provided even if not called in.
