Executive Assistant, Member Benefits
STRS Ohio is seeking an Executive Assistant, Member Benefits to join the Member Benefits Management team. Compensation: $62,805 - $70,656 Work Schedule: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday (Onsite) General Summary: Under the direction of the deputy executive director, Member Benefits and Chief Benefits Officer, provide high-level support around the administration of Member Benefits operations, including but not limited to information requests, preparing reports, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, coordination and monitoring of MB department budgets, and performing a high level of analytical work related to operations and administration. Summary of Responsibilities: Support the deputy executive director with management of all administrative functions of member benefits. Serve as a liaison between the Chief Benefits Officer, internal departments and external stakeholders. Review, screen, distribute and prioritize incoming communications (visitors, calls, emails, mail), and respond or redirect as appropriate. Draft correspondence as directed. Prepare Board Committee materials and reports. Prepare and edit correspondence, presentations, reports, and other documents. Prepare summary of activities for the monthly Executive Director's report. Keep abreast of legislative action affecting benefits. Provide updates to leadership on matters of significance. Coordinate logistics for meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes and following up on Prepare and present special projects as directed. Summary of Qualifications: High School education or equivalent required. Seven to ten years' experience in a high-level administrative support position required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with internal and external contacts required. Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail required. High degree of analytical skills required. Proven ability to operate Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and standard office equipment required. Proficiency in virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams) required. Skilled in Power BI or similar databases. High degree of technical acumen with SharePoint site management and creation.
