Riverside Doctors' Hospital Williamsburg is a short-term acute care facility with 33 medical and surgical rooms, 40 licensed private rooms, and seven intensive care rooms. Set on an attractively landscaped 25-acre campus, Riverside Doctors' Hospital is a 100,000-square-foot, two-story building. It is situated within Quarterpath, a larger, multiuse development. Awards: Certified Primary Stroke Center Received NICHE Exemplar Status Achieved the Nursing Pathway to Excellence designation Case Assignments: B&B, general, heavy ortho, GYN, endo, urology Shifts: Schedule is 2 weeks on, 1 week off; 17 weeks off per year. Team: Leadership: Bobby Shelton, MD Team Highlights: Requirements: Responsibilities: Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements: M.D./D.O.
