Warehouse Associate
Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation, and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas. The ideal candidate will have the ability to operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker; ability to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift, ability to bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time; ability to successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements; and ability to operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices. Essential duties include accurately selecting/picking merchandise from assigned slot and confirming the correct quantity and unit of measure, loading merchandise into appropriate truck, dropping merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots, preparing VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines, repacking loose merchandise for shipping/delivery, verifying quality of product, packaging, and adherence to vendor compliance policy, accurately adhering to Warehouse Labor Standard, "Preferred Method Standard", identifying and reporting slot and put-away problems, shrink wrapping merchandise/pallets after picking as needed, performing housekeeping duties as assigned, and performing other duties as assigned. Preferred qualifications are: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Previous knowledge of SAP, one year warehouse experience and previous forklift certification. Six months of previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred. Material handling equipment experience preferred. Reach truck experience a plus. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must pass a functional capacity test. Job is performed in a warehouse/operations environment. Frequently exposed to fast-moving material handling equipment or other mechanical equipment. This is a full-time position. Must have the ability to work a varying schedule which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays. Work hours may vary or change based on customer orders, departmental or business requirements. The position does not require travel.
