Import/Export Specialist
Responsibilities Manage inbound shipments and coordinate with freight forwarders. Process harmonized tariff codes for US and European markets. Create and log steel licenses and Section 232 exclusions. Develop export documentation, including Shippers Letter of Intent (SLI) and Bills of Lading (BOL). Maintain entry summary logs and ACE portal data. File post-entry corrections and approve import/export invoices. Build strong relationships with brokers and freight partners. Issue vendor Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP and maintain inventory reports. Obtain material quotes and support procurement decisions. Serve as backup for Free Trade Zone (FTZ) administration and assist with research tasks. Qualifications Degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred. 2+ years of work experience in logistics, purchasing, or customer service, or equivalent experience and education. Experience communicating with brokers. Manufacturing industry experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP a plus). Proficient in Microsoft Excel Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $28.85/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
