Test Engineering Manager
Ontic is a leading global aerospace OEM trusted by the world's aviation leaders. Ontic's Chatsworth, CA site specializes in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence. With over 1,400 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace. Our team is looking for a Test Engineering Manager to join them. You will report to the Director of Engineering and will have an onsite work structure in Chatsworth, CA. To be considered for the Test Engineering Manager opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field 5+ years experience in setup and testing of test equipment or related activity 5+ years experience in aerospace industry working with pumps, motors, valves and actuators 2+ years experience in a supervisory or management level Must be capable of troubleshooting electromechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and capable of designing, building, operating and providing direction on the use of numerous pieces of test equipment As a Test Engineering Manager, you will: Oversee and manage multiple programs related to the investment in test equipment, including tooling control, and equipment transition, procurement and installation Work with the Engineering Management to prioritize, schedule and monitor test equipment setup and troubleshooting as needed Prepare plans for capital expenditures to increase capability and improve performance Manage projects and inspect work while in progress and upon completion Prepare, administer, and monitor the testing equipment Coordinate activities with outside agencies as needed Establish work priorities, goals and objectives, and coordinate and schedule assignments Develop plans for training and cross-training of subordinates Apply company and departmental policies, procedures, rules and regulations Prepare work appraisals and discuss performance evaluations; initiate official disciplinary actions as necessary; identify and resolve subordinate complaints Have responsibility for keeping the company informed and for ensuring that appropriate safety practices and work methods are observed Ensure appropriate training is provided for staff Conduct safety training Performs other duties as required Our Benefits: Comprehensive medical insurance Competitive PTO, holiday pay, and sick leave Company 401K plan with up to 4% matched contribution Annual bonus program Flexible working arrangements Paid volunteering opportunities Access to mental health champions across our sites Commitment to development Employee referral program Compensation Pay Range: $120,000-$140,000/yr based on experience Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
