Production Associate
The production associate assists with production activities, adhering to GMPs and the company's HACCP plan for SQF compliance, sanitation, traceability requirements, and quality standards. This role includes responsibilities such as assembling or disassembling lines, maintaining adequate levels of chocolate in tanks, collaborating with team members on the production line, cleaning workstations, monitoring processes, and other tasks as assigned by management. Responsibilities
Follow all safety and cGMP guidelines as indicated by the company's Food Safety and Quality Programs. Assemble and disassemble production equipment such as extruders and enrobbers. Place raw materials like chocolate chips and yogurt into processing tanks. Operate the flow pack machine, changing paper, adjusting settings for mini or regular bars, and monitoring performance throughout the shift. Place packaging material into machines as required. Monitor the production process and adhere to production guidelines and specifications. Report any food quality or safety issues to management or the Food Safety Committee. Communicate any deviations observed during the process to supervisors or leads, such as unusual waste, incorrect packaging, printing errors, or equipment issues. Conduct basic quality and testing checks, including weight reports, metal detectors, and tunnel condensation. Maintain a clean workstation and production area. Report waste and document reports for QA checks and traceability. Essential Skills
Experience in production environments. Knowledge of cGMP guidelines. Ability to operate filling machines and ensure quality standards. Capability to monitor production of various size bars. Proficiency in documenting reports for QA and traceability. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
