Maintenance Technician
1st Shift
Location: Valdosta, Georgia Schedule: 1st Shift -6:00 AM
2:30 PM Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, mechanical equipment, and systems in a food production facility. This includes motors, pumps, conveyors, and electrical systems. Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs. Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment. Inspect, adjust, and replace parts using tools and blueprints. Operate tools such as drill press, grinder, and welding equipment. Maintain work area and equipment cleanliness. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and plumbing systems. Collaborate with the supervisor to complete tasks efficiently. Adhere to safety, food safety, and GMP guidelines. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. 35 years of relevant experience in maintenance or similar role. Welding skills (stainless & aluminum) preferred. Experience with pumps, motors, valves, fans, electrical systems. Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals. Compensation: $29.00 - $39.00 per hour
