Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital Sleep Center is a state of the art out-patient sleep facility devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of sleep disorders including snoring, obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia and periodic leg movement of sleep. Our board-certified sleep physicians care for children ages 12 and up. Accommodations for a parent, guardian or spouse accompanying a sleep study patient are available. We offer the following services at this location: Full EEG Glossal nerve stimulation (Inspire) Non-invasive ventilation (ASV) End-tidal CO2 monitoring Scope Of Work

A Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the Medical Director and designee (department director/manager/supervisor) to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Polysomnographic Technologist can perform the duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technician and may provide supervision of other staff. Qualifications

Formal training in polysomnography program and/or enrolled in a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with the polysomnography option OR enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP online Self Study Modules required. Current American Heart Association BLS Provider certification. 1-3 years-preferred Board Certified examinations with Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technology (BRPT), National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM)- certification or equivalent required Knowledge of EEG interpretation and maturation changes from premature babies to old age is desirable.
