Provides emergency medical care to the sick and injured patients in the prehospital and hospital environment; effectively communicates with all persons and departments involved in the administration of emergency medical care. Essential responsibilities include: Driving emergency vehicle (20%) Determining nature and extent of illness or injury; providing basic life support and transport to the critically ill and injured in the prehospital setting (50%) Completing required documentation according to regulatory standards (15%) Maintaining equipment and inventory of supplies including BLS and ALS and having accountability for medications on every EMS unit per regulatory standards (15%) Performing other duties as assigned or required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience PA EMT certification EMSVO within 30 days of hire Valid Drivers License CPR
