To perform various plating processes to deposit precious metals on substrates Operate plating processes including cleaning and electrodeposit plating Follow verbal and written Engineering and Quality Control instructions Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure Manually perform or operate equipment requiring setups, constant monitoring, and periodic adjustments Maintain attentiveness to process details and equipment Complete processes of fixturing/racking, surface activation; the use of filters, pumps, and agitators/mixers Perform pre- and post-processing tasks including degreasing, cleaning, scrubbing, visual and dimensional inspection, and baking Make up chemical solutions, condition plating tanks, change filters Use of inspection and lab equipment and methods including atomic absorption spectrophotometer, titration, XRF, and microscopes Maintain all required logs, documents, and records Move material within the cell Use of pumps, cranes and lifting carts to move chemicals during tank changes, makeup, and additions Must follow all safety standards as outlined by the certification trained on at all times Education and/or Experience
HS diploma or equivalent 3 years of Electroplating experience preferred Ability to work with Acetone, Trichloroethylene, hot water, and drying ovens Experience inspecting pins Understanding of Amps/Milliamps and square inches Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Physical Demands
Good coordination and flexibility in both hands Move and occasionally lift up to 50lbs. or more Good vision including passing color blindness test Work Environment
