Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. The Clinical Assistant is a member of the staff who coordinates aspects of patient care by managing communication and clerical tasks essential to the functioning of the department. In addition to communication and clerical tasks, she/he monitors and stocks supplies. The Clinical Assistant also provides patient care and related functions as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse or designee. Essential Functions Provide patient care assignments as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse or designee. Clerical/manages supplies/equipment in designated care areas. Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy. Documents in electronic medical record. Acts as a receptionist and organizes daily work assignment based on unit priorities. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience. Preferred CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross required CRT-Nursing Assistant - LARA-BCHS Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs Upon Hire preferred Primary Location SITE - Troy Professional Office Building - 44199 Dequindre - Troy Department Name Oncology Breast Care Center - CHMG East - Troy Employment Type Full time Shift Day (United States of America) Weekly Scheduled Hours 40 Hours of Work 7:30am - 4pm Days Worked Monday through Friday Weekend Frequency N/A
