Crossing Guard Position
The City of Davenport is seeking safety conscious crossing guards for the Davenport Community School District. Being a crossing guard is a great way to give back to your community! By ensuring the safe crossing of children within your community, you are providing a valuable service that is appreciated by teachers, parents, caregivers, not to mention the children themselves. Crossing Guards are paid $15.00 per hour and work approximately 2 hours per day (1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon). Crossing guards are responsible for ensuring the safe crossing of children and pedestrians across streets and intersections. Qualifications
To be a crossing guard, you must be very safety conscious. Their safety and the safety of the children they work with is of the utmost importance! In addition to being safety conscious, the following are the minimum requirements needed: Must enjoy working around children Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions Ability to stand for 1-2 hours at a time and hold a stop paddle Good communication skills Friendly and caring attitude No experience is necessary. We will provide you with all the necessary training and equipment to make you a Davenport Crossing Guard!
