What You'll Do: Monitor and resolve issues with liquid handling, barcode printing and 3D printing equipment, software and systems Manage Tecan and Hamilton liquid handling troubleshooting, maintenance, and use, in coordination with users, group leads, lab managers, facilities and vendors to maximize uptime and ensure clear communication of system status Implement and maintain Tecan and Hamilton liquid handling methods in close coordination with users and stakeholders, providing consistent, clear developer notes to ensure ease of support and troubleshooting Support LIMS driven barcode label printers with in-person troubleshooting Oversee updates, performance improvement and documentation of Windows based lab automation systems in cooperation with IT, operations and facilities Participate in light on-call support, especially as new methods are released, with occasional weekend or off-hour response to critical lab automation issues Provide onsite support to the Seattle site (approximately 25% travel) for infrastructure changes, system issues, and coverage during vacations or absences Design, develop, deploy, and train users on tools to improve scientific workflows, data access, automation, or integration of new laboratory technology Document procedures, maintain inventory of critical parts, and support system troubleshooting or upgrades Who You Are: Passionate about understanding requirements, delivering tested bug-free solutions, determining root cause when issues present, and driving continuous improvement Experienced with method development on one or more liquid handling automation platforms Demonstrated ability to work successfully and collaboratively in a cross-functional team on primarily liquid handling method support, development, and test Degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or a related scientific field with 4+ years of laboratory experience in the life sciences, or an associate degree with 10+ years of experience Able to systematically identify and resolve issues independently Additional Qualifications: Demonstrate soft skills to provide training and correction as needed for colleagues and turn issues into learning opportunities Experience with Tecan Fluent or Hamilton Venus method development Experience with NGS, Cell Culture, or Protein Purification / Analysis workflows Experience troubleshooting integrated workcell hardware, software and firmware Experience planning and executing validation studies for automated methods Experience reviewing and applying scientific data to drive automation improvement Why Join Us: Growth Opportunities: We're a company that believes in continuous learning and development. The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $105,000 to $125,000; base salary offered may vary depending on individual's skills, experience and competitive market value.
